The author determines the complexities of all simple modules of \(SU_ 3(q^ 2)\) in the describing characteristic. It completes an earlier paper [Math. Z. 198, 555-568 (1988; Zbl 0628.20033)] in which those of complexity one have been determined. The complexities are computed via rank-varieties.
