In this interesting paper the authors deal with the following delay integral equations: \[ x(t)=\int_{t-\tau(t)}^t[f(s,x(s))+g(s,x(s))]ds \] and \[ x(t)=\int_{-\infty}^ta(t-s)[f(s,x(s))+g(s,x(s))]ds, \] where \(f,g:{\mathbb R}\times {\mathbb R}^+\to {\mathbb R}^+\) and \(a\) is a positive integrable function on \({\mathbb R}^+\). They prove a few existence and uniqueness theorems concerning positive solutions of the above equations which are almost periodic, asymptotically almost periodic or pseudo almost periodic. The main tool in the proofs of these results is a new fixed point theorem for mixed monotone operators taking values in a real Banach space with a normal cone, proved by the authors. The obtained results are illustrated by suitable examples.
