    The authors study the inverse scattering problem for the Schrödinger operator \(H=-\Delta+ q(x)\), where the potential \(q\) belongs to the weighted space \(L^p_\sigma(\mathbb{R}^n)\), \(n/2< p\leq\infty\), \(\sigma\geq 0\). The Born approximation of \(q\) is an inverse Fourier transform of the scattering amplitude, denoted by \(q_B\). A new estimate of the first nonlinear term in the asymptotic expansion for \(q_B\) is proven. This estimate allows to conclude that all singularities and jumps of the unknown potential \(q\) can be recovered from \(q_B\). In particular, if \(q\) is the characteristic function of an arbitrary bounded domain, this domain can be uniquely determined from the scattering data by using a linear method.
