The author continues his studies [Topology Appl. 158, No. 3, 509--532 (2011; Zbl 1216.54007)] of \(\mathcal{P}\)-extensions (if \(X\) is a dense subspace of \(Y\) and \(Y\) has a topological property \(\mathcal{P}\), then \(Y\) is called a \(\mathcal{P}\)-extension of \(X\)). For example, it is shown (Theorem 5.1) that if \(X\) is locally pseudocompact, \(\zeta X = X\cup cl_{\beta X}(\beta X \setminus \upsilon X)\) is the largest (with respect to the standard partial order) of all pseudocompactifications of \(X\) which have compact remainder. Another result (Theorem 2.6) is related to earlier results by \textit{W. W. Comfort} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 131, 107--118 (1968; Zbl 0157.53402)].
