In this paper, there is investigated a class of general fractional derivatives (GFDs) in the Riemann-Liouville and Capute sense with nonnengative and nonincreasing kernels. The authors formulate and prove comparison principles for some fractional differential inequalities involving these GFDs. As their applications, there are obtained some a priori norm estimates of the solutions of initial value problems for some classes of linear fractional differential equations with GFDs and there are deducted some criteria for existence and uniqueness of solutions of these problems in some spaces of functions.
