The three-dimensional Ising model on the cubic lattice is one of the most challenging problems of modern statistical physics. The paper gives a rigorous study of the low-temperature expansion of both the surface tension and the Wulff shape in the 3D Ising model, and more generally the 3D random cluster (percolation) model. The expansion of the surface tension is computed for the 3D random cluster model. The asymptotic shape of a plane partition is evaluated and found to determine (in suitable low-temperature order) the Wulff crystal in the 3D Ising model.
