Let \(d=(d_1, \dots, d_k)\) be an ordered integral vector, \(k \geq 1\), \(2 \leq d_1 \leq \dots \leq d_k\) and \(|d|=d_1+\dots+d_k \geq 3+k\). A family \(\mathcal{F}(d)\) of smooth Fano complete intersections \(F\) of codimension \(k\) in \(\mathbb{P}^{|d|}\) is associated to \(d\). Such \(F\) is Fano of index one, being the hyperplane section \(H_F\) its anticanonical class. The main result of this paper (see Theorem 1.2 and Corollary 1.3) states that if \(d_k \geq 8\) and \(|d| \geq 3k+3\) then the (global) canonical threshold of a Zariski general element \(F \in \mathcal{F}(d)\) is greater than or equal to one and its log canonical threshold is equal to one. An interesting consequence of this fact is the existence of a Kähler.-Einstein metric on such \(F\).
