Let \(C(K)\) be the space of all real-valued continuous functions on a compact Hausdorff space \(K\) with the norm \(\| f\|= \max_{t\in K}\{|f(t)|\}\). Let \(H\) be the family of all closed, convex and bounded subsets of \(C(K)\) furnished with the Hausdorff metric. A closed, bounded and convex set \(D\) in a Banach space is called diametrically maximal if \(\text{diam\,}D< \text{diam}(\{x\}\cup D)\) for every \(x\not\in D\). A completion of \(A\in H\) is a diametrically maximal set \(D\in H\) satisfying \(A\subset D\) and \(\text{diam\,A}= \text{diam\,}D\). The author gives a characterization of the family \(\gamma(A)\) of all possible completions of \(A\in H\). If \(S\) is the family of all elements of \(H\) having a unique completion, then \(S\) is uniformly very porous in \(H\) if and only if \(K\) is not a singleton (Theorem 3.1).
