The author uses a new method for the study of spectral problems in the theory of orthogonal polynomials. The method provides new proofs of known results but also new results. He proves a general theorem of equality on the weak limits of the zero counting measure \(dv_{n}\) of orthogonal polynomials (defined by a measure \(d\mu\)) and \({1\over n}K_{n}(x,x)d\mu(x)\), with \(K_{n}(x,x)\) be the CD kernel. By combining this with some known results proved by \textit{A. Máté}, \textit{P. Navai} and \textit{V. Totik} [Am. J. Math. 109, 239--282 (1987; Zbl 0633.42008)], he proves some more general results.
