This paper deals with further improvements of an algorithm presented earlier by the second author. That algorithm was based on a very restrictive set of initial assumptions and its development was very complicated. Now the authors present a new algorithm, based on a less restrictive set of initial assumptions. The main advantages of the algorithm are as follows: 1. It is easy to modify the existing rules and to introduce new rules. 2. The efficiency of the algorithm increases with the number of rules. 3. The algorithm is easy to implement even on small microprocessor systems. The new algorithm may be particularly useful when combined with a rule adaptation mechanism, making possible adaptive fuzzy control in a wide range of applications. The algorithm contains no elements from fuzzy control theory, and, for systems with few inputs but many control rules, has improved efficiency.
