Recall that a general dyadic grid \(\mathcal{D}\) is a collection of cubes satisfying the following properties: (i) for any cube \(Q\in\mathcal{D}\), its sidelength \(\ell_Q\) is of the form \(2^k\), \(k\in\mathbb{Z}\); (ii) for any \(Q,\,R\in\mathcal{D}\), \(Q\cap R\in\{Q,\,R,\,\emptyset\}\); (iii) the cubes of a fixed sidelength \(2^k\) form a partition of \(\mathbb{R}^n\). Moreover, it is said that \(\{Q_j^k\}\in\mathcal{D}\) is a sparse family of dyadic cubes if (i) the cubes \(Q_j^k\) are disjoint in \(j\), when \(k\) is fixed; (ii) if \(\Omega_k:=\cup_j Q_j^k\), then \(\Omega_{k+1}\subset\Omega_k\); (iii) \(|\Omega_{k+1}\cap Q^k_j|\leq\frac{1}{2}|Q^k_j|\). For any given dyadic grid \(\mathcal{D}\) and sparse family \(\mathcal{S}:=\{Q_j^k\}\in\mathcal{D}\), the dyadic positive operator \(\mathcal{A}\), associated with \(\mathcal{D}\) and \(\mathcal{S}\), is defined by \[ \mathcal{A}f(x):=\mathcal{A}_{\mathcal{D},\,\mathcal{S}}f(x)=\sum_{j,\,k}f_{Q^k_j}\chi_{Q^k_j}(x), \] where, for any given \(j,\,k\in\mathbb{Z}\), \(f_{Q^j_k}:=\frac{1}{|Q^k_j|}\int_{Q^k_j}f(x)\,dx\). Furthermore, for a Calderón-Zygmund operator \(T\) in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) with kernel \(K\), the maximal truncated version of \(T\) is defined by \[ T_\natural f(x):=\sup_{0<\varepsilon<\nu}\left|\int_{\varepsilon<|y|<\nu}K(x,y)f(y)\,dy\right|. \] For a given Banach function space \(X(\mathbb{R}^n)\) and the maximal Calderón-Zygmund operator \(T_\natural\), the author proves that \[ \|T_\natural f\|_{X}\leq c(n,\,T)\sup_{\mathcal{D},\,\mathcal{S}}\|\mathcal{A}_{\mathcal{D},\,\mathcal{S}}|f|\|_{X}, \] where \(c(n,\,T)\) is a positive constant only depending on \(n\) and \(T\). It is worth pointing out that this result is applied to weighted inequalities. More precisely, this result implies (i) the ``two weight conjecture'' by D. Cruz-Uribe and C. Pérez in full generality; (ii) a simplification of the proof of the ``\(A_2\) conjecture''; (iii) an extension of certain mixed \(A_p-A_r\) estimates to general Calderón-Zygmund operators; (iv) an extension of sharp \(A_1\) estimates to the maximal Calderón-Zygmund operator \(T_\natural\).
