One of the most interesting discoveries in local holomorphic dynamics of the last few years is due to Bracci, Raissy and Zaitsev, see [\textit{F. Bracci} and \textit{D. Zaitsev}, J. Eur. Math. Soc. (JEMS) 15, No. 1, 179--200 (2013; Zbl 1351.37080); \textit{F. Bracci} et al., Int. Math. Res. Not. 2013, No. 20, 4772--4797 (2013; Zbl 1304.32010)], who showed that the presence of resonances among the eigenvalues of the differential at the fixed point causes the appearance of parabolic-like dynamics even when no eigenvalue is a root of unity. In the present paper, the authors investigate the dynamics of maps having both one eigenvalue equal to 1 and resonances, of a special type, among the remaining eigenvalues. Under a number of suitable technical assumptions, identifying a class of biholomorphisms never studied before, they are able to prove the existence of parabolic basins attracted by the origin.
