This paper studies parabolic quasiminimizers on doubling metric measure spaces supporting a Poincaré inequality. The main result is the higher integrability for minimal \(p\)-weak upper gradients of parabolic quasiminimizers related to the heat equation. The authors define parabolic quasi minimizers in the general metric space context, and prove an energy type estimate. The proof is based on a reverse Hölder inequality and a modification of Gehring's lemma. The methods are purely variational.
