Let \({\mathbb D}_1\) be the open unit disk, seen as a homogeneous space of the pseudo-unitary group \(SU(1,1)\) factorized by the maximal compact subgroup \(K\). There is a collection of coherent states associated to a discrete series representation of \(SU(1,1)\) in a space of holomorphic functions on \({\mathbb D}_1\). The main results of the paper are related to sampling with respect to the final subset of \(N\) coherent states parametrized by \(N\) points uniformly distributed on a circumference of radius \(r\in(0,1)\). Band-limited functions for a natural number \(M\) are spanned by eigenfunctions of the compact subgroup \(K\) with \(M\) lowest eigenvalues. If \(N>M\), then there exists a reconstruction formula for band-limited functions with a sinc-type kernel. In the case of undersampling of band-unlimited functions, the accuracy of the approximation is derived, the error tends to zero in the limit \(N\rightarrow \infty\).
