From homotopy operads to infinity-operads (Q528841): Difference between revisions

The paper under review constructs a nerve functor between two homotopical models for colored operads, homotopy (\(A_\infty\)) colored operads and \(\infty\)-operads. Desirable homotopical properties of this nerve functor are established for the restriction of the nerve functor to the subcategory of dg colored operads. These results constitute a generalization of a similar construction of a nerve functor from \(A_\infty\) categories to \(\infty\)-categories (quasi-categories) which has been shown to satisfy similar properties and fit into a family of similar work comparing different models for homotopical algebraic notions. This kind of result is useful because different models in homotopy theory are optimized for different purposes and examples and sometimes theorems and methods available using one model are difficult to obtain directly using a different model.
