This paper studies polynomial structures on affine manifolds. Let us recall that an affine manifold is a manifold whose coordinates changes extend to affine automorphisms of \(\mathbb R^n\). It is also well-known that any symplectic Lie group admits a natural affine structure given by the left invariant symplectic form and that the corresponding Poisson tensor is polynomial. In this work, the authors first recall the properties of the affine structure associated to a symplectic Lie group. Then, they show that any left invariant tensor field on a nilpotent symplectic Lie group is polynomial. They obtain also a large class of polynomial Poisson structures on compact affine solvmanifolds.
