Let \(A\) be a Gorenstein Artinian algebra which is a quotient of a polynomial ring over a field of characteristic zero by a homogeneous ideal. Let \(h\) be its Hilbert function. It is said to be unimodal if it never strictly increases after strictly decreasing. A well known conjecture of R. Stanley states that in the above situation, \(h\) is unimodal. The authors prove in this article that if \(h(1)\leq 4\) and \(h(4)\leq 33\), this conjecture is true. In fact they prove a stronger result that such an \(h\)-vector is in fact an SI-sequence.
