Starting from a result of Bourgain the authors prove that the ergodic bilinear Hilbert transform defined in a complete probability space equipped with an invertible bimeasurable transformation converges almost every where for pairs of bounded functions. The theorem proved states the convergence of a given series of pairs of functions for almost every \(x\). The theorem is proved by means of time-frequency harmonic analysis. Using a similar argument a new proof of the Bourgain's analog result for averages is also given.
