In characteristic zero, jumping numbers of the multiplier ideal on a variety are rational and discrete by the definition. In positive characteristic case, the test ideal is an analog of the multiplier ideal but the rationality and discreteness of its jumping numbers (\(F\)-jumping numbers) do not follow immediately from the definition. This paper proves the rationality and discreteness of \(F\)-jumping numbers under some (reasonably weak) conditions.
