Explicit upper and lower bounds for the torsional rigidity of extrinsic domains of submanifolds with controlled radial mean curvature in ambient Riemannian manifolds with a pole and with sectional curvature bounded from above and below are found. With the help of these results a set of curvature restrictions that guarantee the finiteness of the average mean exit time at infinity or the opposite are derived.
