The paper presents two results. Theorem A: If \(X\) is a Banach space which has a shrinking unconditional finite-dimensional decomposition then every quotient of \(X\) has the property that each normalized weakly null sequence in \(X\) has an unconditional subsequence. This theorem extends a result of \textit{W. B. Johnson} [Compositio Math. 34, 69-89 (1977; Zbl 0375.46023)]. The proof also yields Theorem B: If \(Y\) is a Banach space which is a quotient of the Schreier space \(S\) then every infinite-dimensional subspace of \(Y\) contains an isomorph of \(c_0\). The final section presents six open problems, one of which had been solved at the time of publication [\textit{D. Leung}, On \(c_0\)-saturated Banach spaces, Ill. J. Math. 39, No. 1, 15-29 (1995; Zbl 0808.46025)]. It appears (January 1996) that the other five remain open.
