There are defined and studied lax and weighted colimits of \(\infty\)-categories. In particular, there is shown that the cocartesian fibrations are given as laz colimits. As a consequence, the theorem of Makkai and Paré about accessible fibrations is extended to \(\infty\)-categories. This is a strong result making possible to show that an \(\infty\)-category is presentable.
