This article is a detailed study of four dimensional \(\mathcal N=2\) superconformal field theories (SCFTs). The construction of theory space follows from singularity theory and isolated complete intersection singularities (ICISs). The classification is due to three dimensional isolated Gorenstein singularities. Physical properties of these SCFTs are studied, namely the Coulomb branch spectrum, Seiberg-Witten solutions and central charges. Finally, the weakly coupled gauge theory descriptions are derived. In the course of the article, there is first a review of the general properties of \(4d\) \(\mathcal N=2\) SCFTs given and the geometric construction from ICISs. The necessary conditions on the ICISs are given for developing the \(4d\) \(\mathcal N=2\) SCFTs and the Seiberg-Witten solution is found. With the spectrum of Coulomb branches the conformal central charges can be computed, for which an expression is presented. In the second part, gauge theory descriptions are given and interrelated with the information from the singularities. Finally, an exhaustive list of all quiver gauge theory descriptions is given as examples.
