The author explains the term of the autocorrection effect that means the method of compensation of intermediate errors emerging in the calculations. The case of rational approximation to functions is discussed by the use of that autocorrection effect and it is shown why the significant errors in the approximant coefficients do not effect the accuracy of approximation.
