In the paper the author uses and investigates some properties of the subdifferential calculus developed by \textit{I. Campa} and \textit{M. Degiovanni} [SIAM J. Optim. 10, No. 4, 1020--1048 (2000; Zbl 1042.49018)] to study non-resonance under the first eigenvalue for a strongly nonlinear elliptic problem involving the \(p\)-Laplacian operator.
