The paper under review is devoted to generalizations of the Lifshits-Krein and Koplienko trace formulae. The author discusses conditions under which the trace formula \[ {\text{trace}}\left(f(H_0+V)-\sum_{j=0}^{p-1}\frac{1}{j!}\frac{d^j}{dx^j}\Big|_{x=0}f(H_0+V)\right)= \int f^{(p)}(t)\,d\nu_p(t) \] holds for a real absolutely continuous measure \(\nu_p\). Here \(p\) is a positive integer, \(H_0\) is a self-adjoint operator and \(V\) is self-adjoint operator such that the trace of \(|V|^p\) is finite. Reviewer's remark. Recently, stronger results were obtained by \textit{D. Potapov, A. Skripka} and \textit{F. Sukochev} [``Spectral shift function of higher order'', \url{arXiv:0912.3056}].
