Let \(k\) be an algebraically closed field. A fusion category is a \(k\)-linear semisimple rigid tensor category that contains, up to isomorphism, only finitely many simple objects, whose homomorphism spaces are finite-dimensional and the unit object is simple. Examples of these categories appear in the theory of Hopf algebras, conformal field theory, and the theory of operator algebras. In Section 2, the authors present several properties of group-theoretical fusion categories, i.e. Morita equivalent to a pointed fusion category (the simple objects are invertible), and Hopf extensions. The general question is to obtain information of the structure of a fusion category from the Frobenius-Perron dimension of irreducible objects. Two important classes of fusion categories are nilpotent fusion categories introduced by \textit{S. Gelaki} and \textit{D. Nikshych} [Adv. Math. 217, No. 3, 1053-1071 (2008; Zbl 1168.18004)] and soluble fusion categories. Section 3 and 4 are devoted to obtain several conditions that imply that the dual Hopf algebra is nilpotent. In the last three sections the question about solubility is considered, for instance, it is shown that if \(\mathcal C\) is braided odd-dimensional and \(\{\text{FP-}\dim x\mid x\) is simple in \(\mathcal C\}\subseteq\{p^m:m\geq 0\}\), then \(\mathcal C\) is soluble.
