\(q\)-deformed KP hierarchy: Its additional symmetries and infinitesimal Bäcklund transformations (Q1962566): Difference between revisions

The author studies an interesting property of Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (\(q\)-KP) hierarchy, called additional symmetries which are connected to the ordinary KP hierarchy from the point of view of conformal algebras and the string equation of matrix models in 2D quantum gravity. The generator of additional symmetries is constructed by using a resolvent operator. As a by-product of this the reduction of the \(q\)-KP hierarchy, called \(q\)-deformed constrained hierarchy and the Adler-Shiota-van Moerbeke formula for the \(q\)-KP hierarchy is proved. The link between additional symmetries and Bäcklund transformations is established.
