Let \(M\) be a smooth embedded hypersurface in \(\mathbb{R}^{n+1}\) and let \(k_1,k_2, \dots,k_n\) be its principal curvatures. Then \(H^{-1}\) is called the harmonic mean curvature of \(M\) if \[ H={1\over k_1} +{1\over k_2}+ \cdots+ {1\over k_n}. \] In this paper, the author uses a heat flow method to deform a smooth, uniformly convex, embedded hypersurface \(M_0\) inside a ring domain, satisfying a suitable condition, into a hypersurface with prescribed harmonic mean curvature.
