This interesting article investigates the asymptotic limit of diffused surface energy in the van der Waals-Cahn-Hillard theory under the hypothesis that not only an advection term is added but also the energy is uniformly bounded, thereby proving that the limit interface is an integral varifold, the generalized mean curvature vector is determined by the advection term, and a prescribed mean curvature problem is solvable via the min-max method.
