The authors develop a general approach to the non-commutative gauge theory which subsumes all other known works in this direction. The goal is skillfully achieved using the spectral triples, and also ideas of the unfounded KK-theory pioneered by the second author. The paper consists of the following parts: (i) topological principal bundles, (ii) Riemannian principal bundles, (iii) foundations for non-commutative gauge theory, (iv) Connes-Landi deformation of \(T^N\)-equivariant principal bundles, (v) outlook. The paper is well composed, clearly written, and has a comprehensive bibliography consisting of 100~items.
