The authors review recent results in the theory of the so-called tronquée solutions to the equation \[ \mathrm{PI}:y''=6y^2+z. \] Namely, they describe formal transseries solutions and their Borel summed representations, discuss the Stokes phenomenon, present a functional series representation of the tronquée solution to PI near the first array of its poles and give the asymptotics of these poles. Finally, they discuss the asymptotic properties of the tronquée solutions in the pole region, in particular, its adiabatic invariants used in the course of computation of the Stokes constant.
