\textit{R. Balan} et al. presented an interesting identity for Parseval frames [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 135, No. 4, 1007--1015 (2007; Zbl 1136.42308)] which states that for any Parseval frame \(\{f_j\}_{j\in J}\) of a Hilbert space \(H\) and any subset \(K\) of \(J\) we have that \[ \sum_{j\in K}|\langle f, f_j\rangle|^2 - \|\sum_{j\in K}\langle f, f_j\rangle f_j\|^2 = \sum_{j\in K^c}|\langle f, f_j\rangle|^2 -\|\sum_{j\in K^c} \langle f, f_j\rangle f_j\|^2 \] holds for every \(f\in H\). This identity has been since generalized in various contexts including dual frame pairs and generalized frames. The main result of this paper generalizes the above identity and its related frame inequalities to \(L^2(H, C_2)\)-valued frames, where \(C_2\) is the Hilbert space of Hilbert-Schmidt operators acting on \(H\).
