As noted in the abstract, this paper shows that the Baum-Connes morphism twisted by a finite-dimensional, not necessarily unitary representation \(\rho\) (a generalization of the known Baum-Connes morphism which has been introduced by the author in a forthcoming paper to be published in J. K-Theory) is an isomorphism for a large class of groups satisfying the Baum-Connes conjecture. Such class contains all real semi-simple Lie groups, all hyperbolic groups and many infinite discrete groups having Kazhdan's property (T). In the second part of the paper, the author defines a tensorization by \(\rho\) on the domain of the Baum-Connes morphism and shows that its analogue in \(K\)-theory must be defined on the \(K\)-theory of the twisted group algebras, also defined by the author in [J. Lie Theory 17, No. 3, 505--524 (2007; Zbl 1132.22007)].
