Finite difference methods for the Keyfitz-Kranzer system are considered. The authors first propose an upwind semi-discrete finite difference scheme and prove the convergence to the weak solution. Then they propose two fully discrete schemes. One is proved to converge to a distributional solution of the system under some restriction on the norm of the solution. The other one is shown to converge to the unique entropy solution of the system. Examples are provided and the numerical convergence rates are studied.
