The general set-up of this paper is as follows: a holomorphic family \(\pi :Y\rightarrow S\) of complex manifolds, a Hermitian holomorphic vector bundle \((E, h^E)\rightarrow Y\) and the Hilbert spaces \(H_s\) of holomorphic \(L^2\)-sections of \(E|{Y_s}\). It is devoted to the following main problem of geometric quantization: Can one endow the collection \(\{H_s\}_{s\in S}\) with the structure of a Hilbert bundle and a connection on this bundle; furthermore, does this connection yield a path-independent parallel transport? The answer obtained by the authors is used in the geometric quantization of a Riemannian manifold by putting on \(TM\) a special family of adapted Kähler structures developed previously by them in [Bull. Lond. Math. Soc. 44, No. 2, 367--374 (2012; Zbl 1252.32029)].
