From the authors' summary: The following conclusions are proved for strongly semisimple MV-algebras: (1) Any 1-generator MV-algebra is strongly semisimple if and only if it is semisimple. (2) A semisimple 2-generator MV-algebra \(A\) is strongly semisimple if and only if its maximal spectral space \(\mu(A)\subseteq [0,1]^2\) does not have any rational Bouligand-Severi tangents at its rational points. (3) An MV-algebra is strongly semisimple if and only if so is each of its 2-generator subalgebras.
