    This article studies the relationship between the length spectrum and eigenvalue spectrum of a Riemannian manifold \(M\). The first examples of pairs of closed manifolds that are isospectral on \(p\)-forms for some \(p\neq 0\) but have different weak length spectrum are produced. Using a Poisson summation formula for vector bundles it is shown that the spectrum on functions determines the weak length spectrum of \(M\); however, it does not determine the complex length spectrum. Furthermore it is shown that orientability is an audible property for closed flat manifolds, i.e. two isospectral manifolds are necessarily both orientable or both nonorientable.
