Complements in certain algebraic lattices (Q1812943): Difference between revisions

We show that for certain algebraic atomic modular lattices to be relatively complemented, it is sufficient to assume that each atom has a complement. For the class of lattices investigated here, this means a strengthening of the well-known theorem that any complemented modular lattice is relatively complemented.
