The supersymmetric algebra is a generalization of the ordinary algebra of polynomials in a set \(L\) of variables. An infinite field \(K\) and a set \(L\) of variables are given. The set \(L\) is partitioned into two sets \(L^ +\), \(L^ -\); the variables from \(L^ +\) are called positively signed, the variables from \(L^ -\) are negatively signed. For each \(a\in L\) and a non-negative integer \(i\) the \(i\)-th divided power \(a^{(i)}\) is defined so that \(a^{(i)}a^{(j)}={i+j\choose i} a^{(i+j)}\) for any \(i\) and \(j\). These divided powers form a divided powers algebra \(\text{Div }p[L]\). The exterior algebra \(\text{Ext}[L]\) over \(L\) is the algebra generated by the variables in \(L\) and satisfying the equalities \(ab=-ba\), \(aa=0\) for any \(a\), \(b\). The supersymmetric algebras \(\text{Super}[L]\) is the tensor product of \(\text{Div }p[L^ +]\) and \(\text{Ext}[L^ -]\) such that positively signed variables commute with negatively signed ones. The paper studies these concepts. Titles of paragraphs: 1. Supersymmetric algebra, 2. The coproduct \(\Delta\), 3. Polarities, 4. The algebra of braces, 5. The bracket algebra, 6. The exchange identity, 7. Standard basis theorem, 8. Models: the classical invariant theory, 9. Supersymmetric models, 10. Fundamental theorems in invariant theory.
