    Unter dem Begriff ``blowing-up'' für eine Lösung \(u:(0,T)\times S\to\mathbb{R}\), \(T>0\), \(S\subset\mathbb{R}^ n\) eines parabolischen, nichtlinearen Problems versteht man folgendes: Mit Hilfe einer geeigneten Funktion (z.B. einer Norm) \(f:\mathbb{R}\to\mathbb{R}\) kann die Existenz eines \(t_ 0\in(0,T)\) gezeigt werden, so daß \(\lim_{t\to t_ 0}f(u(t,x))=\infty\) gilt. Der Verfasser gibt Beispiele parabolischer Probleme an, bei denen die räumlichen Ableitungen der Lösung \(u\) die ``blowing-up''-Eigenschaft haben und untersucht hinreichende Bedingungen, die an die Differentialgleichung zu stellen sind, damit dieses Phänomen in der Lösung auftritt.
