    La théorie de la localisation a été étendue aux anneaux non commutatifs, puis, de la, à la théorie des faisceaux. Dans ce droit fil, l'un des trois auteurs a introduit une théorie abstraite de localisation qui dans l'article est comparée avec deux théories de localisation dejà existantes. Le but de l'article est de montrer que les trois théories sont essentiellement équivalentes quand on se restreint à la catégorie des faisceaux quasi-cohérents.
