The method of generation of exact solutions for symmetrically laminated shells subjected to axisymmetric pressure and to torsion is developed. A refined theory is used, which is an extension of Donnell's theory to shear deformable composite shells. Results are obtained by superposition of basic solutions corresponding to classical theory and additional terms, that take into consideration shearing deformation. The seventh order differential equation can be solved by hyperbolic or trigonometric functions. Some typical cases of boundary conditions are discussed.
