The author obtains a classification of homogeneous Einstein metrics on the flag manifolds in the complex, quaternion and Cayley projective planes. Combined with results of \textit{W. Ziller} [Math. Ann. 259, 351-358 (1982; Zbl 0469.53043)], this provides a classification of the invariant Einstein metrics on the manifolds named in the title.
