    The author considers matrix valued functions and primarily rational matrix functions \(F(\lambda)\) defined on some subset of the Riemann sphere. A function \(G(\lambda)\) is a pseudoinverse or generalized pseudoinverse of \(F\) if pointwise \(G\) is an inverse or generalized inverse respectively of \(F\). The author obtains a formula for the generalized pseudoinverse of a rational matrix function without a pole or zero at infinity.
