    Bei vielen Evolutionsproblemen entstehen Lösungen, die auf eng begrenzten, zeitlich veränderlichen Gebieten sehr steile Fronten ausbilden. Bei der numerischen Lösung solcher Probleme ist ein (bzgl. der Ortsvariablen) adaptives Gitter naheliegend, das sich dem Verhalten der Lösung anpaßt. Die vorliegende Arbeit befaßt sich mit der Konstruktion, Untersuchung und Implementierung solcher Gitter, wobei hier die sogenannten statischen Gittermethoden behandelt werden. Bei diesen wird --- im Gegensatz zu den dynamischen Methoden --- die Änderung der Feingitterbereiche nur zu diskreten Zeitpunkten vorgenommen. Dadurch kann der gesamte Algorithmus in 5 scharf abgegrenzte Teilschritte aufgeteilt werden: Ortsdiskretisierung, Zeitintegration, Fehlerkontrolle, Gitteränderung und Interpolation. Das Verfahren wird auf halblineare 2-dimensionale parabolische Probleme angewandt.
