In a former paper [ibid. 14, No. 2, 276-298 (1991; Zbl 0754.47019)] the author has given a set of complete unitary invariants for a class of subnormal operators for which the spectrum is the closure of a simply connected domain and its boundary is a rectifiable Jordan curve which equals the spectrum of the minimal normal extension. In the present paper the requirement of simple connectedness is weakened: Let \(S\) be a subhnormal operator with minimal normal extension \(N\) such that \(\sigma(S)\) is the unit disk, \([S^*,S]^{1\over 2}\) is a trace class operator and \(\sigma(N)\) is the unit circle together with \(k\) points in its interior. Then \(tr[S^*,(S-\lambda I)^{-1}][S^*,(S-\mu I)^{-1}]\) for \(|\lambda|>1\), \(|\mu|>1\) is determined by \(i(S)\) (the index of \(S^*-\overline{w}I\) for \(w\in\sigma(S) \setminus \sigma(N))\) and a real symmetric \(k\times k\) matrix \((\gamma_{mn}(S))\) depending on \(S\), and both -- the trace function and \(\{i(S),\gamma_{mn}(S)\}\) -- are complete unitary invariants for the class of subnormal operators under consideration.
