The authors study the problem of periodicity of the infinite product of \(V\)-matrices with some negative elements and row sum equal to one. It is proved that under certain conditions an infinite product of \(V\)-matrices splits into a number of subsequences for which the limits exist and the rate of convergence is geometric. Using some properties of generalized inverses a method for finding these limits is developed. Finally the presented results are illustrated by means of an example.
