Let \(B_ n\) (resp. \(U_ n)\) denote the open unit ball (resp. unit polydisk) of \(\mathbb{C}^ n\). The author establishes several necessary and sufficient conditions in order that a function \(g\) holomorphic on \(B_ n\) should be a Bloch function: \(g \in B(B_ n)\). The conditions all concern the Hadamard product \(*\) and are typically of the form, for example, \(f*g \in B(U_ n)\) for all \(f\) in appropriate spaces.
