Multigrid with matrix-dependent transfer operators for a singular perturbation problem (Q685855): Difference between revisions

A second order linear singularly perturbed two-point boundary value problem \(-\varepsilon y'' + a(x)y' + b(x)y = f(x)\), \(y(0) = y(1) = 0\), \(b \geq 0\) is solved by means of a two-grid method with a matrix-dependent prolongation and restriction. Uniform convergence for all \(h\) and \(\varepsilon\) is proved where \(h\) is the mesh size parameter.
